Building Communities
That Own Their Future
Permanent Capital | Generational Security
A Unified Methodology for Development—Permanent Capital Meets Local Power.
Extraction Masquerading as Development
Billions in capital flow into communities, yet the people who live there are displaced. Traditional development can often separate capital from community governance for many—creating extraction, not equity.
Integrated Capital + Leadership
Daman Financial acquires and holds land outside speculative markets. We train Civic Infrastructure Architects to govern that land. Together: permanent security + cultivated agency.
Already Serving Communities
We've secured properties serving 22+ people using CRA-aligned CDFI partnerships. Now we're scaling this proven methodology across the U.S. South.
True transformation requires the reconciliation of what traditional models consistently separate: permanent material security + cultivated human agency. We build both, simultaneously, because we recognize that the ultimate form of currency is community.
Permanent Capital Vehicle
We acquire strategic land and hold it in perpetuity—insulated from speculative market pressures.
Strategic land acquisition in partnership with communities.
Permanent asset holding that protects communities.
CRA-aligned CDFI partnerships and community redevelopment agency collaboration.
Financial models that prioritize community benefit over extractive returns.
Leadership Cultivation
We train Civic Infrastructure Architects—local leaders who govern community assets.
Comprehensive curriculum in land trust, land banks governance and legal frameworks.
Community Insecurities Assessment focusing on community/ cohort led opportunities.
Financial literacy and community investment strategy training
Long-term capacity building for self-determined development.
Community Land Trusts fail without trained leaders. CDFIs provide capital but can't ensure governance. Our integrated approach solves both simultaneously—we secure the assets AND cultivate the people to govern them.
We've proven this model works at scale. Here's how we're building permanent security and cultivated agency in real communities.
2021-2024 | Proof of Concept
Through Affordable Holdings and SHELTA, we secured a 5-unit residential property using a pioneering integrated approach. Partnering with Catalyst Community Capital and the City of Fort Myers Community Redevelopment Agency (both CRA-aligned CDFIs), and local community redevelopment agencies, we demonstrated that permanent capital acquisition paired with community governance frameworks can serve families while building lasting equity—with a base capacity to house 10 individuals or 5 households affordably to 2031.
This wasn't traditional affordable housing—it was a living laboratory for our dual methodology, proving that communities can own their development when given both the assets and the training to manage them.
2025-Present | Scaling & Refinement
Having validated our core model and concepts through our success in Southwest Florida, our early-stage venture is now strategically positioned for scaling. We have acquired a second property in the Central Virgina area to serve as the next pilot site for the full Daman Financial + Unum Collective model.
With a prospective site secured, we are modeling pathways for development and implementation of our proprietary permanent capital structure framework while simultaneously launching our first formal Civic Infrastructure Architect training cohort. This property demonstrates the replicability of our approach—same methodology, different geography, same results: communities owning their future.

OBJECTIVES
A. Successfully onboard and initiate the first cohort of Civic Infrastructure Architects (CIA) training, with a target of 5-8 participants, achieving 80% completion of the Q1 2026 curriculum module by EOM March 2026.
B. Formalize and deploy the proprietary Community Insecurities Assessment™ in the target Albemarle County area, establishing data-driven baselines for social impact across a minimum of 100 local households.
Scaling Across the U.S. South With fellowship support, we're expanding the Daman + Unum model to New Orleans, Richmond, and Atlanta, actively creating a replicable playbook for permanent, community-led development across the region. As we move from pilot to scale, we invite our audience to follow the journey closely.

From Enforcing Systems to Rebuilding Them
My experience is the core paradox of my work through Daman Financial + Unum Collective. During my tenure in law enforcement, and recently as a full-time Housing Program Manager, I simultaneously faced housing insecurity. The dissonance of living inside and outside the systemic forces became my greatest education. That intense, high-stakes exposure proved that systemic failure runs deeper than enforcement or policy—it is foundational. This insight taught me the ultimate lesson: real change requires building entirely new systems, not just reforming broken ones. I now apply that hard-won knowledge to design a unified methodology for permanent capital and local power.
Today, I apply this direct, frontline insight to civic finance and asset-building, working to reshape policy and structure permanent community ownership from the ground up. My career history, presented below, demonstrates the consistent application of this mission across municipal, policy, and entrepreneurial platforms.
Housing Program Manager, City of Charlottesville, VA - Government
Managed housing programs of service, limited planning, and compliance efforts in adherence to Charlottesville's Affordable Housing Plan - and its Affordable Housing Fund. A $10 million in annual investments and overseeing the systems that tracked $58.77 million in total city spending—nearly 60% of the City's 10-year, $100 million commitment—since 2022.
Affordable Holdings / SHELTA - Social Entrepreneur
Structured $800K+ in community investments through my consulting firm Affordable Holdings of Southwest Florida and co-founded SHELTA, a women-led housing equity initiative.
Director of US Programs - South, Build Change - NGO
Contributed strategic direction to a regional team, advancing innovative solutions in housing, financial services, and climate resilience through direct bipartisan engagement and policy campaigns across 8 Southern states.
Strategic Partnerships Manager, FutureMakers Coalition (Collaboratory) - Philanthropic
Supported a regional advocacy campaign that resulted in a $22.9 million grant for workforce development, building and maintaining relationships with over 300+ corporate and civic leaders to align resources and drive collective impact.
Assistant Director, City of Fort Myers CRA - Government
Co-Stewarded and Supported Executive and Elected leadership in overseeing and implementing the strategic reinvestment of $15 million in tax increment funding, shaping policy priorities to protect $200M+ in private and $20M in public investment. This included direct oversight of the Southwest Florida Enterprise Center business incubator.
Daman Financial and Unum Collective represent the culmination of this journey: a proven, replicable methodology that integrates permanent capital with leadership development to create lasting community self-determination.
We're seeking partnerships with CDFIs, Community Land Trusts, municipal agencies, and philanthropic organizations committed to permanent, community-led development.
